Kumasi Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways after beating Aduana Stars at Dormaa Ahenkro away from home in an emphatic 2-0 win.
The visitors began the game on the front foot and found the opener through a Patrick Asiedu strike after only nine minutes of action.
The hosts then extended their lead in the second half through Albert Amoah and currently sit in seventh place on the league log with a point behind rivals Hearts of Oak, and five points off leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
Up next, Kotoko face Hearts of Oak in the super clash and will be aiming to grab all three points to keep their title hopes alive.
That big game comes off next weekend.
