Asante Kotoko edged Vision FC on matchday 17 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season in a convincing 4-1 victory with Kwame Poku grabbing a brace.

Poku opened the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors after only eight minutes, yet Vision FC managed to find the back of the net and restore parity through Nana Kwesi 15 minutes after.

Kotoko would not be pecked back on the day. They managed to regain and extend their lead with goals from Amidu Acquah, Poku and Dauda Saaka.

The win means Kotoko climb into the top three, two points off leaders Bibiani Gold Stars in the title race.

Ogum’s men also lead rivals Hearts of Oak two points in the race for the title after round 17.

Up next, Kotoko host Karela, aiming to continue their winning run, having gone unbeaten  in their last six league matches.
