Jordan Ayew features in Leicester City’s 4-1 defeat to Brentford

Jordan Ayew featured from the start as Leicester City suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat away to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in West London on Saturday afternoon.

The Ghanaian forward scored Leicester’s only goal in their previous game against Chelsea and was eager to find the net once again against Brentford.

However, things did not go quite to the plan of Jordan Ayew on the day, and in the 21st minute, Jamie Vardy set up an excellent assist for Facundo Bonanote, who slotted the ball into an empty net to give Leicester the lead.

However, the lead was short-lived only four minutes later when Brentford’s Kevin Schade assisted Wissa, who scored to equalize for Brentford.

Schade then added to the scoreline by netting a hat-trick, leaving Brentford with a commanding 4-1 advantage.

Leicester missed key players, including Fatawu Isahaku, a regular starter who is out injured, as well as Nathaniel Opoku, who is sidelined with a broken leg.

Ayew and his teammates faced another disappointing defeat, marking consecutive losses in the Premier League.

However, the season is still long, and Leicester will be aiming to turn their fortunes around in the coming days under their new manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
