Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams has reached a significant milestone, celebrating 10 years with Spanish club Athletic Bilbao.
Williams, who rose through Bilbao’s youth system, made his first-team debut under Ernesto Valverde on December 6, 2014, in a league game against Cordoba. Since then, he has been a pillar of consistency and reliability for the Basque side, delivering crucial performances whenever called upon.
The forward’s work ethic and resilience are epitomized by his record-breaking 251 consecutive La Liga appearances, surpassing the previous record of 202 held by Juan Antonio Larrañaga. This feat underscores his commitment and durability in the Spanish top flight.
So far in the 2024/25 La Liga season, Williams has maintained his form, contributing seven goals and assists in 15 matches. His overall career statistics with Bilbao are equally impressive: 441 appearances, 105 goals, 61 assists, and two trophies.
Marking the occasion, Williams shared his gratitude on social media:
“10 years fulfilling a dream. Remember where you started and where you are. Thank you all for joining me.”
As he continues to excel, Inaki Williams remains a symbol of dedication to his boyhood club, with hopes of achieving even greater success in the years to come.
