Ghanaian defender Abdul Rahman Baba has been named in the Greek Super League Team of the 2023-24 season, a testament to his outstanding performances for PAOK FC.
The left-back played a crucial role in PAOK’s successful campaign, which saw the club secure the Greek championship for the first time since 2018-19. Baba’s impact was felt on both ends of the pitch, with the defender making 28 league appearances, scoring five goals, and providing three assists. His blend of defensive reliability and attacking contributions established him as one of the league’s standout players.
Baba Rahman also excelled on the continental stage, featuring in nine UEFA Europa Conference League matches. He scored once and assisted another goal, helping PAOK reach the quarter-finals before bowing out of the competition.
This recognition marks a significant resurgence for the former Chelsea player, further cementing his status as one of Ghana’s top football exports. Baba’s form has continued into the 2024-25 season, where he has already netted seven goals in 22 games across all competitions for PAOK.
