“The celebration was pre determined” – Ogum on his celebrations

Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed that his celebration after his side’s 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash was ‘pre determined.’

Ogum credited Kotoko’s ability to grab all three points and create loads of chances on the day, stating that this is the team to find consistency with as the season progresses.

Speaking in his post match presser, Ogum revealed that his iconic celebration on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium was planned as far back as when he left home for the game.

“When the goal came, I mean look at the way we played, look at the chances we created. I mean, Baba Yaya was about five meters from goal and the team missed lots of opportunities to score. Towards the end of the game, I said to myself the score has not been to us, so when the goal came, haha, the celebration was pre-determined.”

“I had planned it in my mind at home that when we score I would remove my tie and go say thank you to the fans, so the celebration was pre-determined celebration and not a spontaneous one”, Ogum said.
