Although Emmanuel Sarpong pulled one back for Berekum Chelsea in the 61st minute, Hearts maintained control of the match. In the 81st minute, 18-year-old Kwabena Boateng scored the final goal, sealing the victory for Hearts.
Hearts demonstrated their superiority with 57% possession and 13 attempts on goal, six of which were on target. In contrast, Berekum Chelsea had 43% possession, with three attempts on goal, only one of which was on target.
Despite Coach Samuel Boadu’s determination to defeat his former side, the pressure was on Hearts to win following their recent loss to arch-rivals Kotoko in Kumasi. Coach Outarra’s team delivered an impressive performance to bounce back and secure three points against Berekum Chelsea.
