Asamoah Gyan has released a bombshell revelation about his relationship with Andre Ayew, insisting his former teammate as a genuine friend despite the negative rumors.
On Thursday, January 2, Gyan took to Instagram to hold a live session where he opened up about issues surrounding the national team as well as current happenings.
He labelled his relationship with Andre as positive, yet stated that Ayew’s mind has been brainwashed by people who hold personal interests.
Gyan and Ayew played for close to a decade together for the Black Stars where they collaborated passionately in providing loads of goals for their nation.
However, back in 2019, Gyan was stripped off his captaincy with the leadership role afforded Ayew prior to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Since then, there has been a rivalry between the players with loads of criticism, backlash and rumors surrounding the true reason behind the events.
To Gyan, people surrounding the team have contributed to the current situation despite the good relationship with Andre.
