Kwame Opoku continued his impressive form for Asante Kotoko, scoring his second goal in as many games to secure a 1-1 draw against Medeama SC in a thrilling Ghana Premier League encounter at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
The Porcupine Warriors took the lead on the stroke of halftime when Opoku capitalized on a well-placed pass to find the back of the net. The goal marked another milestone in his successful return to the club, as Kotoko looked to extend their four-game winning streak.
Medeama SC, however, came out firing in the second half, creating several chances as they pressed for an equalizer. Their persistence paid off in the 68th minute when Mamudu Kamaradini struck home to restore parity for the home side.
The draw leaves Asante Kotoko in fifth place, two points adrift of league leaders Heart of Lions. Medeama, meanwhile, remain in seventh, continuing their push for a top-four finish.
