Ghana Football Association Executive Committee (GFA EXCO) member Nana Oduro Sarfo has revealed that the federation’s partnership with coverage brand StarTimes ‘has not ended’, hinting on a new collaboration.

Back in 2024, the partnership between the GFA and Chinese-owned pay-TV operator StarTimes came to a halt, leading to decline of its coverage and patronage for several months.

However, in an interview on Max FM, Sarfo brought up the revelations, stating that the partnership remains alive with better strategies adopted for the future coverage of the Ghana Premier League.

“Our friendship with StarTimes hasn’t ended. StarTimes gave us the best deal in the whole of West Africa”, he said.

The Ghana Premier League will now see a major boost in its media coverage, as StarTimes is nearing a return as the league’s official broadcast partner.

StarTimes’ return is big news for the league which has been surrounded by controversy in recent hours over officiating issues.
