Asante Kotoko Head of Sporting Affairs James Kwasi Appiah says Kotoko winning the league and booking a place in Africa would be the best way to ‘honor Otumfuo’s investment’ in the team.
The Porcupine Warriors have shown some consistency under Prosper Narteh Ogum this season and look poised to challenge for the title.
Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Appiah revealed that clinching the title would be the best way for Kotoko to pay back Otumfuo for his support and efforts towards the club.
“Looking at the players we have now and the investment the King (Otumfuo) is making, I believe it would be an honor to win the league and qualify for Africa next season to make him happy”
The last time the porcupines clinched the title was in the 2021/22 season with Ogum, and they will be looking to relive a similar moment come end of the season
