Ghana Premier League official Maxwell Hanson and his lawyers are requesting a retraction, apology, and compensation from Samuel Anim Addo over his rigging allegations.

The Young Apostles co-owner accused the Ghana Premier League referee on X, of being the Ghana FA’s go-to person for “dirty jobs” in the top-flight league.

His criticism came after the referee’s performance in Accra Lions’ loss to Dreams FC, prompting the co-owner to call for urgent reforms in the league.

In a letter addressed to Anim Addo as per reports, Maxwell Hanson demands the deletion of the social media post, a pinned apology, and compensation for the “damage to his reputation.”

“Delete the publication from your X account and ensure that any related social media posts are removed”, the statement reads.

“Publish, with equivalent prominence to the original publication, a suitable retraction and apology in terms to be agreed. Pin the apology on your X account so that it remains searchable to users. Provide compensation to our client for the damage to their reputation, emotional distress, and any financial loss incurred, along with covering their legal costs.”

The letter also warns that failure to comply will result in legal action as both parties continue to stand behind their own claims.
