Nations Fc beat Asante Kotoko on Matchday 11 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season in Obuasi to go top of the standings, thanks to goals from Nafiu Sulemana and Faisal Charwetey in a 2-0 win.
The hosts failed to dominate at home, and lacked the finishing touch in front of goal on the day.
Nations Fc now sit on top of the league table, while Kotoko have dropped to eighth place on the standings.
This is Prosper Narteh Ogum’s fourth straight defeat in the league this season, and the fans of the porcupine warriors are far from confident about the results unfolding after the club’s brilliant start to the campaign.
The crucial win for Nations Fc over Asante Kotoko means they now sit two points clear of second placed Bibiani Gold Stars at the top with 22 points, and also four clear of fourth placed Hearts of Oak.
Though the season is long, uncertainty continues to linger around Ogum’s team and when they can find the much-needed consistency to churn out results.
Kotoko face Aduana Stars away from home in the next matchday and will need to be at their very best to grab all three points and prevent a fifth straight loss in the league.
