Beating rivals makes me ‘happy’- Nations fc coach Kassim Mingle

Nations fc head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey has stated that ‘beating his rivals makes him ‘happy’ after his side edged Asante Kotoko 2-0 on Sunday in Obuasi to go top of the Ghana Premier League.

Nations sit at the helm of the standings, two points clear of second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars and have kept eight clean sheets from 11 matches played in the league this campaign.

Mingle’s side have shown promising signs to make a strong finish come end of the season, though it is still early days yet.

Speaking in a post match interview, Kassim Mingle stated that the feeling he gets from ‘beating his rivals and senior’ Prosper Narteh Ogum is absolutely delightful, and he will be aiming to continue on this impressive run of form.

Nations are unbeaten in their last four league matches, winning all of them without conceding a goal.

Up next, Mingle’s side take on Berekum Chelsea at home and look poised to secure their fifth straight win in the first round of the season.

Kotoko’s loss to Nations Fc became the porcupine warriors’ fourth straight defeat, and Ogum and his boys will need to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Aduana Stars in that crunch clash away from home.
