The Super league is a community based league with its aim is to foster unity amongst the various communities in Accra and also a platform for young men to exhibit their talents when it comes to Football in Accra.
The League which is in their 5th year was some sort of an annual fun games for the communities and then grew into a league. The league comprises of 8 teams who play amongst themselves and garner points and then get to it eventual winner.
Match week one saw some exciting football at the Abofo Astro turf as the 8 teams palyed each other.
The Reigning champions Royal OT started their campaign of the season five with a 2-1 win over new entrants Rock City and what was an exciting action packed end to end game of tactics and game minded managers. But as Champions they showed their prowess and made a bold statement for the first match.
Falcons were ruthless in their first game against Nimagzine. The game saw some goal haulage as the home team Falcons thrashed Nimagzine 4-1, making Nimagzine the team to have conceded the most goals in the first round of games in the season.
