Its sad and Painful to see the Black Stars this way – Agyeman-Badu

Former Ghana International, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu has left his thoughts on the current state of the Black Stars, labelling it as ‘sad and painful’ to see.

The Black Stars completed the qualifying series without a victory in six matches and will not be making it to the continental showpiece next year.

Fans and the local media have been left frustrated due to the current disappointing situation and believe immediate action is required to salvage the dying nature of Ghana Football.

For Former Black Stars midfielder Agyeman-Badu, the situation is far from comfortable and requires immediate action to turn it around.

“It is very sad and painful to see the Black Stars play the way they play. A country like Ghana can’t qualify for the AFCON after slots have been increased from 16 Teams to 24 Teams ?”, he said in an interview on Happy FM

For now, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has a huge task ahead of them, and the local media and fans will be eyeing the situation closely to see what later becomes of it.

The GFA led by Kurt Okraku have reportedly scheduled a meeting on Wednesday, November 20 to analyze the shortcomings of the Black Stars and Ghana football holistically and find ways to make amends.
