Ghanaians stand behind winger Fatawu Issahaku after ACL surgery

Share

Ghanaians have sent loads of love and support to Leicester City winger Fatawu Issahaku after his successful Anterior Crucial Ligament surgery (ACL) which is set to keep him sidelined for the next six to nine months.

Issahaku sustained the knee injury in Ghana’s AFCON Qualifier draw with Angola at home and will be missing in action for the rest of the season.

The Leicester man was exploding into life in the English top flight and was regarded a key player for the Black Stars this year.

However, this knee injury stands in his way of continuing his run of form this season, and he will now be aiming to bounce back stronger and return to action in the next campaign.

Fans have taken to social media to X to express their support for the 20-year-old, with one user stating: ” I’m so sad to see Fatawu this way after having such a great start this  season, get well soon.”

“Speedy recovery to Abdul Fatawu Issahaku”, other local outlets wrote.

For Fatawu Issahaku, this ACL injury is surely a tough moment. However, he has always shown the will to fight to reach the top, and he could return in even better form come next season.

“All glory be to Almighty Allah. My surgery was successful, and I just want to tell you that I am okay and I am feeling good after the surgery. I want to thank everyone for your best wishes”, Issahaku wrote on Instagram.
