Aboubakar Ouattara dismisses “weak team” claims as Hearts focus on victories

Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has brushed aside criticisms suggesting his team lacks strength, affirming their commitment to securing consistent wins in the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Legon Cities FC, Ouattara acknowledged the challenges faced by his squad but maintained confidence in their potential.

“Some people say we have a weak team, but we are playing. Every match is a challenge to Hearts of Oak. For now, we need to target maximum points from every game,” he told AFA Sports.

Reflecting on the performance, Ouattara admitted his side struggled, particularly in the first half, before finding the breakthrough.
“It is normal to lose the 50/50 balls. When the other team is fighting, you also have to fight, but we didn’t fight in the first half. Fortunately, we got the chance to score,” he explained.
