Head Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo admits he is expecting a tougher game against already qualified Angola in the ongoing AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
The Black Stars who are in search of their first win of the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers will be hosted by Palancras Negras at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in the Matchday five games.
Coach Otto Addo who spoke to the media after their last training session on Thursday said he expects a difficult game from Pedro Gonasalves team.
“Yeah, these are difficult games. You can’t take it for granted that they will play, let’s say, 50 per cent or so. I know that they (Angola) will be 100 per cent ready. It’s going to be difficult, it’s an away game. It’s going to be very, very tight, I know.
He also added that the players are mentally ready and beleives it is time for them to go all out to record their first win to keep their chances alive.
“But I think mentally the boys are ready. I’m looking forward to that game. It’s time for our first victory in this competition. I think it’s a great opportunity to keep the chance alive.”
Ghana sits 4th place in Group F with just two points after four games. However, the Black Stars still have a chance to qualify after Niger’s 4-0 victory over Sudan on Thursday.
Today’s game Kick-off is 19:00 GMT.
For Ghana to qualify for the AFCON 2025 in Morocco they must secure victories against both Angola and Niger, while hoping for a Sudan loss to Angola.
