Veteran football administrator Alhaji Karim Grusah has endorsed Nii Lante Vanderpuye for the position of Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.
Grusah stated that Vanderpuye has an extensive background in sports, including his experience as a sports journalist, commentator, and former Sports Minister, as reasons he is best suited for the role.
Alhaji Grusah credited Vanderpuye’s proactive leadership during his previous tenure with revitalizing Ghana’s football sector.
“We all saw the good works of Nii Lante Vanderpuye when he was Sports Minister,” Grusah said on Asempa FM, emphasizing that his knowledge and passion for football could help restore Ghana’s football to its former glory.
Vanderpuye served as Sports Minister during the John Mahama administration, and earned praise for his bold decisions and innovative approach, making him a popular choice among sports stakeholders.
