Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta highlighted his team’s resilience and versatility after their 2-0 triumph over Manchester United on Wednesday. Goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba, both from corners, secured Arsenal’s fourth consecutive win across all competitions.

The Gunners showcased their ability to capitalize on set pieces, even without injured first-choice defender Gabriel. Speaking about the team’s proficiency from dead balls, Arteta emphasized the importance of being well-rounded.

“We want to be dangerous and effective from every angle and phase of play,” Arteta told reporters. “The team believes that from any situation, we can pose a threat and try to score.”

The victory came as Liverpool dropped points in a draw against Newcastle, allowing Arsenal to close the gap to the league leaders to seven points. However, Arteta stressed that his side’s focus remained on their own performance.

“The will to win is there,” he said. “We’ve gone through challenges this season, but the team has responded well. It’s about maintaining that mindset and focusing on the next game.”

Arteta called on his players to carry this momentum forward, underscoring the need to improve against their next opponents, Fulham.

Arsenal’s win was another step in their effort to stay in contention at the top of the Premier League.
