As Ghana prepares for its general elections on December 7, key players from the Black Stars have joined the call for peace and unity during this critical period.

Stand-in captain Mohammed Kudus, alongside teammates Gideon Mensah, Razak Simpson, Isaac Afful, and Kingsley Schindler, has urged Ghanaians to avoid violence and uphold the values of democracy.

“I’m here to urge for a peaceful election,” Kudus said in a statement. “We are all one country, both before and after elections. I wish everyone well and encourage peaceful voting.”

Gideon Mensah also highlighted the importance of elections in shaping the nation’s future. “Elections allow citizens to shape the country as they envision. Let’s exercise patience, respect others’ opinions, and maintain peace throughout the process,” he appealed.

The Black Stars are set to return to the pitch in March 2025 for the continuation of their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. In the meantime, their messages resonate as a powerful reminder of unity and collaboration, underscoring the need for a harmonious election period.
