Ghana Premier league Giant Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have signed striker Kwame Opoku ahead of the upcoming super clash with Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
Kwame Opoku signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors. The club has confirmed medical exams and clearance for overseas transfers are prerequisites for the transaction.
In the 2020–21 season, the forward had a stellar stint with Kotoko. International clubs took notice of Opoku’s performances during that campaign, as he made 16 appearances and contributed three assists and six goals.
Opoku was transferred to USM Alger in Algeria as a result of his performances, and he flourished there and later moved to Olympique Khouribga in Morocco
Opoku is set to wear the number 31 jersey as he bolsters Kotoko’s attacking options.
Kotoko are seventh on the GPL log with 18 points and are set to face their rivals Hearts of Oak this weekend.
