Ghanaian and Freiburg SC midfielder, Daniel Kofi Kyereh return to competitive football will take more time as confirmed by his Coach, Julian Schuster.
Daniel Kofi Kyereh, 28, suffered a cruciating ligament tear two years ago and has remained in recovery with no specific time for his come back to football.
In an interview coach of Freiburg SC, Schuster said: ” Kofi still has a long way to go. When you are out for a long time, it’s all about general fitness”. Healing process varies and requires patience, he added.
Kyereh joined Freiburg on June 27, 2022, making an immediate impact by scoring his first Bundesliga goal in a match against Mainz on October 1, 2022. Just five days later, he found the net again, this time in a Europa League group-stage victory over FC Nantes. However, his progress was abruptly halted by the severe injury.
