Flick confirms Raphinha and Lewandowski will play against Betis

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has ruled out resting Raphinha for Saturday’s La Liga match against Real Betis, emphasizing the Brazilian’s importance to the team.

Raphinha, who scored twice in Barça’s 5-1 triumph over Mallorca, has been in fine form. Despite rotating star striker Robert Lewandowski in the previous match, Flick assured both players are set to start in Seville.

“We need Rapha. When he is available, he will play,” Flick told reporters. “If he’s ready for 90 minutes, then he’ll play 90 minutes. The same goes for Lewandowski, who will also play tomorrow.”

Barcelona, sitting atop the La Liga standings with 37 points from 16 matches, ended a three-game winless streak in the league with their dominant victory over Mallorca.

Flick warned of the challenge posed by Real Betis, who are winless in their last four league outings but remain a threat under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini.

“Betis are a very good team, with experienced players. They press high and play an attractive style of football,” Flick said. “Manuel is a very experienced coach, and his teams always play with quality. We need to be focused and careful.”
