Former Dreams FC striker John Antwi has set his target ahead of the upcoming season with his new club, Al Murooj, in the Libyan Premier League.
John Antwi signed for Al Murooj in August after his contract with Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC had ended.
The 32-year-old attacker expressed happiness about his move to the Libyan club while also outlining his objectives ahead of the new league season.
Speaking in an interview, the former Al Ahly striker expressed his hunger to get in goals for Al Murroj. Antwi said in the interview, “I’m hoping to score lots of goals for my new club this season”.
The former Black Stars player also reiterated his wish to stay injury-free throughout the 2024/25 Libya Premier League season.
John Antwi’s quality and experience will be crucial to his new club ahead of the season. The attacker was integral to Dreams FC’s success in the 2023/24 season.
His four goals in the CAF Confederations Cup guided the team to a historic semi-final finish. He also scored 4 goals in the 2023/24 GPL season with Dreams FC.
John Antwi has had stints with several with top clubs across the African continent. The lethal finisher has played for Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Pyramids, Ismaily and many other clubs.
As the All-time highest foreign scorer in the Egyptian Premier League with 78 goals, Antwi will be hoping to shatter goal-scoring records in the Lybian top flight.
