Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah delivered a sensational performance, scoring two injury-time goals to inspire Norwich City to a 2-1 comeback victory against Coventry City in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon at Carrow Road.
Coventry took an early lead through Milan van Ewijk in the 24th minute, leaving Norwich trailing despite dominating possession in the second half. The Canaries appeared destined for defeat until manager David Wagner introduced Amankwah in the 84th minute.
Forson Amankwah made an instant impact, leveling the score with a 91st-minute strike before securing all three points with a decisive goal in the 95th minute, sending the home crowd into raptures.
The win propels Norwich City to 11th place in the Championship standings with 36 points, keeping their hopes of a playoff push alive.
Amankwah, who joined Norwich from Red Bull Salzburg, has now registered two goals in 17 appearances this season. His game-changing display sets the stage for Norwich’s upcoming FA Cup third-round clash against Premier League side Brighton on January 11 and a league encounter at Sheffield United on January 18.
