Captain of Legon Cities FC, Frank Akoto has dedicated their 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars to their fans.
Legon Cities, today grabbed their third win in the Ghana Premier League week 11 against the new entrants Basale at the Legon stadium.
This win takes the Legonites away from the relegation zone, as they push for a comfortable spot in the first round.
Frank Akoto in an interview after the game admits the team is taking shape and adjusting to the league.
“I think we are finding our feet and adjusting to the league. It hasn’t been easy, because most of the players are new to the league and it will take time, but I’m delighted we are now winning games”
He added, that “it was a good win after scoring the equaliser for the team and the feeling is different when you score on your birthday and I dedicate this win to our fans who have been behind us throughout the start of the league”
Legon Cities are now 15th on the league log after playing 11 games with 3 wins, 2 draws and 6 loses.
They go away to the Kpando where they lock horns with Hearts of Lions for matchday 12.
