GFA executive committee to discuss Ghana’s AFCON failure and Otto Addo’s future on Wednesday

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is reportedly set to discuss the future of Otto Addo and Ghana’s AFCON failure on Wednesday November 20 to try and turn the difficult situation around and make plans for the future.

Ghana were left stunned in the qualifiers away from home by Angola as they failed to book a place to the continental front 20 years on since they missed out on Tunisia 2004.

Kurt Okraku’s administration have failed to lift the image of the Black Stars in recent years and have come under constant ridicule by mans fans and the Ghanaian media

However, the GFA have reportedly set Wednesday as the day for the commencement of strategic decision making and the probable firing of coach Otto Addo.

Otto Addo has a 28 percent win rate in his two stints as Black Stars head coach and is under heavy ridicule from the fans and the media to be sacked in the coming days.

Otto Addo has however hit back, and says although many are focused on the results, he possesses and offers more as he has been trained to be a coach by many greats in football.

“I trained under Sammer, I was trained under Klopp. I was also an assistant to Edin Terzic who was Dortmund coach. They are also critical of some things but this has much more value if  speak to Jurgen Klopp and he says this or that than somebody from anywhere saying bla bla bla this is bad.”

“People can judge me and surely most of the people can judge me by the results which were not good.”

For the fans, the first line of action should be the resignation of the current GFA leadership who have consistently failed the nation and have refused to be held accountable for the poor administration of Ghana Football.
