Former Accra Lions defender and now Barcelona Athletic star David Oduro is expected to feature in the Catalan first team training session after his fine run of performances in the youth division.
Oduro made the ground-breaking move to the Catalan side this summer and has since been in fine form once afforded the opportunity to compete at left back.
David Oduro has already secured the starting left back role for Barca Athletic and will be aiming to eventually transition into the senior side.
According to reports, the Spanish giants have been keenly tracking Oduro’s performances, particularly after his impressive showing against Real Sociedad’s youth team.
The former Accra Lions man is on a mission, and due to the lack of depth in Hansi Flick’s squad, particularly in defense, Oduro could intriguingly make his first appearance for the Blaugrana senior team before the end of the 2024/25 season.
Should David Oduro feature in a match for Barcelona, he will become the first locally-bred Ghanaian to play for the Catalans, edging his name in history.
