Ghana was supposed to top group if we look at our performance- Black Stars Team Manager Ameenu Shadow

Team manager of the Black Stars Ameenu Shadow says if Ghana’s performances in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers were anything to go by, the team would be top of the standings in their Group.

The Black Stars completed the qualifying series without a victory in six matches and will not be making it to the continental showpiece next year.

Many have left their thoughts on the current disappointing situation and believe immediate action is required to salvage the dying nature of Ghana Football.

However, Black Stars Team Manager Ameenu Shadow believes the team was unfortunate as they showed really good spells and encouraging signs in many of the games in the qualifying series.

“If the performance of the team in many of the games is anything to go by, Ghana was supposed to top the group if we are only looking at performance”, he said in an interview on Happy FM.

The Black Stars Tam Manager also believes change is soon to come and the results will show in the coming months, indicating the team as far from fallen.

“It is only the results that are yet to come. If you look at the team’s performances in the last games, we performed better than the results that we have got”, he added.

For now, the GFA has a daunting task ahead of them, and the local media and fans will be eyeing the situation closely to see what later becomes of it.
