Accra Hearts of Oak has confirmed the Universe of Ghana Stadium as the new venue to host their FA Cup round of 64 fixture against Immigration FC.
The Accra-based club initially stated the game to be played at the Hearts Park in Pobimam on Sunday afternoon.
The PRO of the club confirmed the announcement in an interview with Accra-based radio channel Max FM.
Speaking in an interview, the PRO of the club, Kwame Opare Addo, confirmed the decision to change the club’s decision to move the MTN FA Cup round 64 fixture.
“The club has decided its FA Cup round of 64 fixture against Immigration FC will be played at the University of Ghana Stadium”, he affirmed.
“The club after careful considerations deemed it necessary to bring the game to the venue it’s played all its league home games this season. We believe it will be best to bring the game closer to our fans, hence our decision for the change of venue”, Mr Opare Addo said.
The 12-time winners were eliminated from the competition at this same stage last season by Division One side Nania FC.
A defeat that remains fresh on the minds of the Phobians. They could advance to the round of 32 should they emerge victorious against Division Two side Immigration FC on Sunday afternoon.
