Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has declared his readiness for the upcoming ‘Super Clash’ against bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The two Ghana Premier League giants will be locking horns for the first time this season on matchday 13 of the league season.

Likely to make his super clash debut on Sunday, the optimistic Benjamin Asare has reiterated his readiness for the weekend’s clash.

In an interview, Asare stated, “I’m ready for the game against Kotoko. I’ve never been scared of them [Kotoko].

Benjamin Asare boasts of an impeccable record against Sunday’s opponents.

In the 2023/24 season with Great Olympics, the goalkeeper kept two clean sheets in two league games against the Porcupine Warriors.

When asked if Hearts of Oak could win on Sunday, the goalkeeper replied, “Of course. It’s a game of football. We just have to take our chances.”

Hearts of Oak lost both games against Kotoko in the league last season. The Phobians were beaten 3-2 in the first round before losing 2-0 in the second round.

Benjamin Asare hopes replicate last season’s form against Kotoko with his new club when they meet on Sunday.

The Super Clash kicks off at 3 PM at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
