Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has called for support from Phobia fans across the country to help the team not only on social media, but to also show up in games at the stadium.

Hearts of Oak have managed to bounce back to winning ways and find the much-needed consistency that would get them closer to winning the Ghana league title for the first time in four seasons.

Hearts secured their third straight win in the Ghana Premier League after their victory over Karela United away from home, and have also not conceded in the period.

Ouattarra has stated that his team have found the balance needed to win games, yet revealed that matches are not won on social media and called the fans to show up in their numbers in their next fixture.

“Everywhere I go, I tell the fans to come and support. I will encourage the fans to come to Stadium but not to only support the team on Social media or Facebook, but come in their numbers at the stadium, follow these boys. We need them for the game we have at home.”

The Phobians are celebrating their 113th anniversary and made sure to extend their winning streak to three matches, eyeing a greater finish to the end of the first half of the season.

Hamza Issah netted the vital goal only three minutes into the game, and showed how lethal he can be after he latched onto a pass and fire Hearts of Oak into an early lead.

Aboubakar Ouattara and his team remained resolute defensively, ensuring they held on for the narrow lead from start to finish to grab all three points on the day.

Should Hearts of Oak continue on this upward trajectory, a league title will surely be within reach.
