Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil added a celebratory flair to LA Galaxy’s victory parade by performing his new song “Blessing” after the team’s triumph in the 2024 MLS Cup.
Paintsil played a pivotal role in LA Galaxy’s 2-1 victory over New York Red Bulls in the final. He opened the scoring just nine minutes into the match before teammate Dejan Joveljic doubled the lead moments later. Although the Red Bulls responded with a goal from Sean Nealis in the 28th minute, Galaxy held on to secure the title.
Since joining LA Galaxy in February 2024 as a designated player from KRC Genk, Joseph Paintsil has been instrumental to the team’s success. He finished the season with 15 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances and added four goals and one assist in the playoffs.
