Kotoko SC have officially parted ways with head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum after a run of poor performance in the ongoing season in the Ghana Premier league.
Coach Ogum who had his second stint with the Kumasi based club, won the league in his first stint in the 2021/22 campaign, recent results in the ongoing league have been below the expectations set for him.
The has gone winless in their last three games. A disappointing 2-0 defeat to Nations FC on Matchday 28 appears to have been the final straw.
A statement released by the club on Saturday afternoon confirmed the decision:
“Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has this afternoon parted company with Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum. This decision was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.We thank Coach Ogum for his dedication and service to the club, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors. We urge our supporters to remain calm and continue to support the club during this transition.
