Communications Directior of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has revealed that no member of the executive council has plans to resign despite current criticism after the Black Stars’ disastrous 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Black Stars failed to win a single game out of six qualifying matches and will not be competing next year on Africa’s biggest football stage.
Henry Asante Twum has however candidly stated that despite the current ridicule and public calls for the FA to step down, none of them intends to do so.
“No GFA Executive Council member has whispered to me that they are going to resign”, Twum told JOYSports.
For now, Otto Addo still remains coach of the Black Stars and Ghana’s struggles in 2024 have culminated in another setback, as the team fell four spots in November’s FIFA rankings, dropping to 77th globally.
