Leicester City manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy has lauded Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey for his sensational goal in Brighton’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City in the English Premier League.
Lamptey’s goal was a standout moment in the match. The versatile defender received a pass on the right flank, shifted the ball to his left foot, and unleashed a curling strike into the top corner with his weaker foot. The brilliant finish left Van Nistelrooy visibly impressed.
“The first one was top corner, and you have to compliment Lamptey for a brilliant goal,” the Leicester City boss remarked.
Tariq Lamptey’s goal marked his second in his last five matches, a period in which he has also contributed two assists. His consistent performances have been crucial to Brighton’s strong campaign, with the Black Stars defender featuring in seven matches across all competitions this season.
