Ghanaian football legend Abedi Pele has stated that there could be a future for the nation’s football after he spotted the performances of the Black Galaxies.

This week, the football icon passed by the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram as the Black Galalxies came up against against his team, Nania FC, as they  prepare for the CHAN qualifiers.

Ghana’s national teams have been far from impressive as major honours are concerned in recent times.

Many have stated that there is no clear path back to the top for the Ghana Football Association.

Nonetheless, the 60-year-old believes the domestic players in camp are showing signs of hope for the future.

“It has been a great pleasure for me to get the honour to players against you. What I have discovered is that you have a very god team — strong physically, technically and wonderful,” Abedi Pele said to the players after the match.

“For me, the future is in the making. The future of Ghana football is in the making. The reason is, when you are born in this country and you are playing for the nation team, the bond, the hunger to succeed, the courage, the determination is paramount.”

Ghana take on Nigeria later this month in the playoff round for the 2025 CHAN with the first leg set for Accra before they travel to the Nigeria for the reverse fixture.
