Team Doctor of the Black Stars Prince Pambo has weighed in on the conversation with regards to the recent Anterior Crucial Ligament (ACL) injuries to Ghanaians players Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Alidu Seidu.
The Ghanaian duo have found themselves injured in the knee and will be sidelined for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign.
Many have shared their support for the players aid their injury struggles, as they both were having a great season for the respective clubs.
Prince Pambo candidly stated to 3sports that the current situation is as a result of a ton of matches being played this season on both domestic and international fronts.
“What we have noticed is that the load players are exposed to have quadrupled compared to previous times. Players are now participating in more games, and training sessions tan ever before, which has increased their risk of injury”, he said.
Fatawu Issahaku was having a brilliant time with Leicester in the Premier League this season, while Alidu Seidu also continued a fine run for Rennes in Ligue 1.
Both players will be aiming to come back stronger next season as they still have loads of years ahead of them to compete at the highest level.
