Defender, Evans Owusu has left his thoughts on the highly-anticipated Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

The two most successful teams in Ghana take each other on in a Ghana Premier League game at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday, 15th December 2024.

Ahead of the crucial clash, Evans Owusu, who once featured for the Porcupines left his thoughts on how huge yet unpredictable this iconic ‘Super Clash’ will be.

“Hearts of Oak vs Asante Kotoko is a big game any day. It’s a game every player dreams of playing because every football-loving fan has their attention on it. Aside from the three points, the game determines who earns the bragging rights.” He told sportsboom.

Owusu stressed how crucial mental and physical preparedness from players will be for this game as they approach this fierce and historic fixture.

“As a player, you have to be physically and mentally ready for the game. Football is full of uncertainties, and anything can happen. The Super Clash is not determined by the current form of both teams.” He added.

Kotoko sit in 7th place on the league log with 18 points while Hears of Oak are 6th with 19 points.
