Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif is hopeful that the newly constructed Wa Youth Resource Centre will  be crucial for nurturing talent and the growth of skills in the Upper West region.

The facility was commissioned and rechristened B.K. Adama, and it is the second Youth Resource Centre that has taken shape after Koforidua’s project.

The project is a part of the government’s efforts to address inadequate sports infrastructure in the nation.

“This facility will not only boost and host sports activities but also serve as a resource centre for skills development, leadership training, entrepreneurship and ensuring our youth are equipped to excel in all areas of life,” Ussif stated when the facility was unveiled.

The Wa Youth Resource Centre is part of the ten multi-purpose Youth Resource Centres all over the country and it began in 2018 under Isaac Asiamah who was the then sports minister.
