Head coach of Aduana Stars, Yaw Acheampong has stated that his team is ‘encouraged’ to beat Asante Kotoko this season ahead of their Sunday clash at home against the Porcupine Warriors.
Kotoko have been far from the best this season and have failed to win a league game in their last five matches.
Aduana will be looking to further sink Kotoko, and Yaw Acheampong insists his team will be ready at their best level to grab the much-needed win on the day.
“We have encouraged the boys that last season we beat Asante Kotoko in Dormaa and we have to beat them this season”, he said ahead of the game.
For Kotoko and Prosper Narteh Ogum, the pressure is on the rise, yet a win away from home could prove pivotal for them and turn their season around.
Although the stakes are high and Aduana host Kotoko, the advantage lies in the balance as both sides have two wins against each other, while drawing once in the period.
The match is expected to begin at 3:00pm on Sunday at Dormaa Ahenkro.
