Ghana Football Association Executive Committee (GFA EXCO) member Nana Oduro Sarfo says he hopes President John Dramani Mahama will appoint a worthy sports minister for football development in the nation.
Under the tenure of Mustapha Ussif, Ghana lacked a clear direction and had loads of controversies surrounding its sports management and facilities.
Sarfo is of the believe that appointing the right man for the sports minister role would be key for the next generation of Ghanaian football and its development.
Speaking in an interview on Max FM, Sarfo said : “ We hope Mahama gives us a competent sports Minister. A minister who understands and has affection for sports”
Oduro Sarfo also revealed that the GFA’s partnership with coverage brand StarTimes ‘has not ended’ and hinted on a new collaboration for the second round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
StarTimes’ return is big news for the league which has been surrounded by controversy in recent hours over officiating issues.
